Southport’s proposed amendment to its Land Use Ordinance to bring it into compliance with state requirements for increasing housing density (LD2003) is available on the town website’s Planning Board page.  There will be a public hearing on this amendment at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at the Southport Town Hall.

"Also, the town meeting we originally hoped to have on July 1 has been postponed and will be held either later in July or in early August," said Planning Board Chairman, Skip Simonds. "There are public notification requirements which the state requires which necessitated the change in dates. A notice of the new date will be published as soon as it is known."
