On Nov. 27, Southport nomination papers became available for four elected positions. Candidates have until Jan. 6 to gather 25 registered voter signatures for the following: Selectman, school committee member, Boothbay Region Water District trustee and town clerk. Each position has a three-year term. Current office holders are Selectman Smith Climo, School Committee member Kathy Tibbetts, BRWD trustee Gerry Gamage and Town Clerk Donna Climo. All four incumbents are seeking another three-year term.

Election Day is March 7.
