Southport Memorial Library to reopen April 17
The Southport Memorial Library is excited to announce that it will reopen for in-person browsing on Saturday April 17. Browsing will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., by appointment, although walk-ins will be permitted as space allows. Please call 633-2741 to inquire or schedule an appointment.
For those who aren’t comfortable coming inside, the current curbside pick up service will continue.
The library is following the Maine Library Association’s rules for reopening libraries during the pandemic, which are in place to keep both patrons and librarians safe. Patrons will be limited to a 30-minute visit, they must wear masks, and must be symptom-free of any illness. Meeting space will not be available at this time, but policies will continue to evolve as spring and summer progress, so stay tuned for any changes.
The librarians appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as the library re-opens and look forward to seeing everyone.
