Southport has bought a boat. On June 26, selectmen signed the bill of sale for a 1988 Proline boat and trailer. The town paid $19,500 to Hodgdon Yacht Services, LLC of  Southport. Selectman Gerry Gamage said the purchase was for the harbor master’s use.

In other action, selectmen approved Mechele Vanderlaan’s request to rent the town hall for an Aug. 17 baby shower.

Selectmen meet next at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 in the town hall.
