In their efforts to buy up the whole town, have the handful of big money second home owners also soaked up all the contractors?

The simple resident, single home owner cannot get anything done around here because the small jobs are being ignored.

I cannot even get a carpenter or electrician to return my phone calls. Maybe, offering a signed check for $15,000 to $20,000 as a retainer is the only way to get some attention. It has always been a private club-contractor situation in Boothbay, but now it’s just plain ridiculous out there.
