Sign replaced at Boothbay Harbor traffic island
Thu, 08/01/2019 - 1:30pm

East Boothbay Landscaping owner Jeffrey DiMauro and his sons, Anthony and Joseph, spent much of the morning Wednesday, July 31 erecting new posts and an East Boothbay sign at the traffic island on Route 96 in Boothbay Harbor.
The posts and sign were destroyed in February when a motorist plowed through them. They had been repaired in the summer of 2013 when a man operating a scooter hit them.
For almost 20 years, East Boothbay Landscaping has donated its time and materials to beautify the island after receiving approval. Previously, motorists stopping beside or driving past the island could only view just a strip of asphalt (painted green) and stone.
