Dear Editor:

Our country was founded on the principle that all are created equal.  When that principle is at risk and some within our community face discrimination, it is appropriate for our leaders to show support for those who are treated unfairly. 

I salute the Southport Selectmen for flying the Pride flag this month at our town hall.  I thank them for leading us in building a more just and kind community. Thank you.
