Churches on the Boothbay peninsula will take a moment for mission outreach on Sunday, July 14 in support of Set For Success, the region’s annual back to school event.

Members and friends of all churches throughout the Boothbay region are invited donate a school supply or make a financial contribution at church. The school supply Wish List has been sent to each church and is also available on the BRCRC website. 

Mission Outreach Sunday is Set For Success’ major annual fundraiser and each year the giving is remarkable. It allows Set For Success to shop for bargains throughout the year ensuring that every PreK – 8th grade child attending Boothbay Region public schools are Set For Success with all teacher required school supplies when they return to school in September.

Checks should be made payable to the Boothbay Region Community Resource Council with SFS in the memo. If not collected at church they may be sent to BRCRC, P.O. Box 43, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538. 

If you wish to donate a school supply, please bring to the front desk of the YMCA with Set For Success clearly marked on your package. Each church will deliver their gifts to the Y on Sunday, July 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and volunteers will be at the Field House to receive them.

The Set For Success back to school event will take place at the YMCA Field House on Aug. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. with a barbecue for participants starting at 11:30 a.m. We look forward to seeing students, families, and school staff for this incredible community event.
