Heads of the Harbor Salon, 50 Union Street, Boothbay Harbor will be holding its second annual fundraiser in September for "Go Gold for Childhood Cancer."

On Monday, Sept. 2 (Labor Day), there will be a cut-a-thon from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All haircuts will be by donation only.

The salon will also be holding different raffles each week throughout September. Week one will be “take a sample product” with any donation made and the final week will be prizes galore with large baskets of items to win. Raffle tickets are available at the salon during regular business hours.

Donations will be accepted all month on behalf of Jameson Brooks who passed of cancer and is missed by all.

Last year's fundraiser raised well over $6,000. This year's goal is to reach $10,000. All money raised will be donated to the Maine Children's Cancer Foundation and the local Special Olympics in Jameson's name. If you would like to donate or have questions, please call 315-2025.
