Seahawks run past Greyhounds, 80-52

Senior co-captain Steve Reny scored 15 of his game-high 25 points in the third quarter as the Boothbay Region Seahawks boys varsity opened the 2018-2019 basketball season with a convincing 80-52 win at home Monday night over the Lisbon Greyhounds.

Leading by nine, 33-24, at the half, Boothbay broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Lisbon, 27-9. Boothbay hit nine three-pointers.

Also scoring in double figures for Boothbay were junior Hunter Crocker with 18 and sophomore Ben Pearce with 10.

DJ Douglas led Lisbon with 13 points, followed by Corey Weirs with 10.
