The Boothbay Region High School field hockey and football teams will compete in playoff games the next two days.

The field hockey team will face the Maranacook Black Bears, 4-10, in Readfield today, Oct. 21, at 3:30 p.m. Boothbay, 2-11-1, and Maranacook didn’t play each other during the regular season. The winner will move on to face top-seeded Wnthrop.

The football team will travel to Rumford Friday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. to face the Mountain Valley Falcons. Boothbay, 3-4, lost at Mountain Valley, 2-3, on Sept. 17, 46-22.
