Seahawks lose to Flyers














The fourth ranked Seahawks boys tennis team lost to a talented fifth ranked Waynflete Flyers team, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon, June 3, in the quarterfinal round of the Western Maine Class C tournament. The loss ended the Seahawks' fine season at 8-4.
Boothbay did not win one set against the Flyers, who now advance to play in the semifinal round.

Seahawks win final scheduled match
Coach Mark Gorey's team finished the regular season with a 3-2 win over Wiscasset High School on Wednesday, May 28.
With the win, Boothbay (8-3) earned the right to host Tuesday's playoff match against Waynflete.
Against Wiscasset, first singles player Nick Gorey completed the regular season undefeated with a 10-7 victory of Wiscasset's Nate Panarese.
Second singles player Dan Drummond won his match 10-8 over Tom Anderson of Wiscasset.
And the second double team of Duncan Drapeau and Vicente Haro-Hortelano defeated Wiscasset's Ridge Barnes and Kevin Lynch, 11-9.
Wiscasset's Logan Grover won the third singles match over Ben Betts of Boothbay, 10-8 and the Wolverines' first doubles team of Andrew Walton and Ethan James defeated Collin Thompson and Ray Perry, 10-8.
