The boys and girls cross country teams competed against Lisbon and Hall Dale high schools at Beaver Park in Lisbon on Oct.14. The girls team won the meet led by overall top three finishes by senior Glory Blethen (23:30), junior Emerson Harris (25:10), and junior Grace Campbell (25:19) followed by fellow junior Ava Schlosser (27:43) and freshman Kate Campbell (27:54) and freshman Emma Markowitz (29:14). The next meet for the girls is the state qualifier on Wednesday Oct. 21.

The boys team was led to a second place finish by senior Nathan Chatterton, who finished 3rd overall (19:15) and senior Graham Harris who finished 5th (20:23). The seniors were followed closely by junior Lucas Hardwick (20:28) and sophomores Gryffin Kristen (20:50), Ryan Amaral (22:31), Ryan Clark (23:03) and Marlowe Recoing-Tallen (23:14). The boys’ next meet is the state qualifier on Saturday Oct. 24. Senior recognition will follow a Blue vs. Gold meet on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
