Scouts get the ‘Tree Talk’

How can being a part of scouts “help” you and your child? Scouts are full of fun activities that build character and create bonds through playing, working, and learning together.

Last week the scouts from Boothbay Pack 271 gathered together at the Boothbay Region Land Trust Penny Lake Preserve with horticulturist Robert Stanley of Tree Keepers. The scouts and family members received the “Tree Talk,” an informative talk and interactive hike to learn about local tree, plants, bugs, and their ecosystem. Tree Keepers is available to other groups; to also get the “Tree Talk,” contact Robert at 207-350-1606.

The Cub Scouts now accept kids in or entering grades K-5. Older kids, ages 11-18, are able to join Boy Scouts. If you and/or your child would like to join in in our summer activities, please don’t hesitate to contact either Adam Macy at 841-7778 or Robin Ford at 607-2965.
