To add a little perspective to the stories about the cement mixer that is Route 27 from Edgecomb to the Harbor, consider our experience a couple of days ago.

We were driving southbound from Route 1 behind an Airstream Travel Trailer pulled by an oversized pickup truck. As soon as the driver became aware of the condition of the road – which occurs very soon after turning off of Route 1 – the vehicle drove the whole 12 miles either straddling the center line (risking a head-on collision with northbound vehicles) or straddling the solid white line on the right (risking bicyclists and pedestrians). This is not unusual.

Keep pushing, Representative Stover and Senator Reny, to get our peninsula back to the twentieth century!
