Dear Editor:

Rosemary Bourette is running for selectmen and I couldn’t think of a more perfect candidate for the job.

I have known Rosemary for almost 20 years and was an employee of hers at the Carriage House for three years. I witnessed first-hand the positive influence she had on others by creating a healthy, fun, and productive work environment. Her steady, level headed approach was always accompanied by a smile even when things got crazy on a Friday night.

Emotions are running high with the people of Boothbay Harbor. From my perspective, there seem to be two very strong camps with opposite views about the future direction of Boothbay Harbor. I am very excited that Rosemary Bourette, who has lived here for over 40 years, is offering a more neutral and measured option. She does her research and makes decisions based on facts not emotion. She cares deeply for the town and has served this community for years as a business owner, volunteer, parent and grandparent.

Rosemary, you are getting my vote. Thank you for running!
