The Mt. Abram Roadrunners defeated the visiting Boothbay Region Seahawks, 53-22, in Class C South girls basketball on Saturday, Dec. 7.

It was the opening game of the season for both teams. Boothbay’s first scheduled game at home against Spruce Mountain on Dec. 5 was postponed.

Leading scorers for Boothbay were Tatum French with nine points and Maddie Orchard with seven.

The Seahawks are next scheduled to host Lisbon on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.
