Remember the Alamo?

    Dear Editor:

    Remember the Alamo?

It’s a question not a battle cry. What happened that led to the confrontation at the Alamo?

Tejas, a Mexican territory under the rule of General Santa Anna, was the northern outpost of his despotic rule.

Long story short: Americans crossed unabated into this territory and started calling themselves Texians and conducted themselves in a manor familiar to the laws of the United States.

Eventually, the Texians and some Tejanos demanded liberty from the despotic rule of general Santa Anna.

Regardless of the right or wrong Santa Anna lost control and lost a war as a result of unabated immigration.

So how is the United States currently under different circumstance?
