The Merry Barn Writers’ Retreat is thrilled to announce our first February Vacation Adventure for kids ages 8-13. “Circus Stories: Read Them - Write Them - Become Them!” is a partnership with Learning on the Move of Boothbay Harbor.

Join the fun as we explore circus literature and lore, art, and performance. Participants will spend three days moving and learning, as they write wordless picture books, create poetry and art, and design their own circus posters. We will juggle scarves and balls, tic-toc with flower sticks, balance feathers — and perhaps spin a plate or two! 

There will be many opportunities to perform for each other, including  a final performance for family and friends on Thursday afternoon.

Circus Stories will run Tuesday, Feb. 18, through Thursday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $150. Aftercare is provided for a minimal fee; and some financial assistance is available. Space is limited.
