Rebuilding Together - Lincoln County (RT-LC) will hold its second 2019 Rebuilding Together Day on Saturday, Sept. 21. The local non-profit is looking for volunteers to work on approximately 14 home repair projects designed to help RT-LC clients prepare for the coming winter.

RT-LC helps neighbors in need who own their own home but are unable to make necessary repairs due to financial hardship or physical disability. The organization has been in operation since 2002 and has assisted literally hundreds of clients through the years.

“The projects we’ll be working on Sept. 21 range from debris clean-up to roof repair and wood stove repair and installation” said RT-LC President Vic Taylor. “Our mission is to keep our neighbors in need warm, dry and safe, so we want to get these projects wrapped up before the snow flies.”

Rebuilding Together Day volunteers will gather at 7:30 a.m. on the 21st in the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church parking lot, 82 Atlantic Avenue in Boothbay Harbor. Teams led by RT-LC House Captains will be assigned to each project and will depart from the parking lot for the various work sites by approximately 8 a.m.. Car pooling is encouraged. Lunch will be provided, however, volunteers are asked to bring their own snacks and water for the morning. Projects should be finished by 3:30 p.m.

“We’re hoping for another good turnout of volunteers for Rebuilding Together 2,” said Taylor. “Folks who can’t join us on Sept. 21 can assist in another way by visiting our website at RebuildingTogether-LC.org and making a financial donation.”

RT-LC typically holds one Rebuilding Together Day in the spring of each year. This Sept. 21st Rebuilding Together Day will be evaluated for turnout with an eye toward changing to a single fall work day.
