Rebuilding Together Day fast approaching, volunteers needed
Rebuilding Together Day is Saturday, April 29 this year. As in the past, Rebuilding Together-Lincoln County is working hard to fulfill our mission of insuring that low-income homeowners live in safety and warmth and can maintain their independence. We have assisted over 250 families since our beginnings in 2001, with issues such as insulation needs, water and electrical problems, roof repairs, handicap ramps, heating issues, and exterior/interior maintenance.
We have 17 project homes this year and really need your help. Volunteers of every variety are what make Rebuilding Together-Lincoln County truly successful. If you are a skilled carpenter or plumber, semiskilled at working with power tools, or consider yourself unskilled but willing to learn and assist with the skilled volunteers, please consider signing up to help us out. Better still, get a bunch of friends or co-workers together and form a team. As is often said, “Many hands make light work,” not to mention the true satisfaction of knowing you made a difference in someone else’s life.
Volunteer forms are available at Hawke Motors and Griffin Law Offices, as well as online at our website under “Forms” – www.rebuildingtogether-lc.org. If you would be interested in assisting on a project by acting as house captain, you can include a note on the submitted volunteer form and our project leader will be in touch.
