Raising money for St. Jude’s with donated flowers

Alden Jordan and Karen Lea’s 10-year-old granddaughter, Lexi, is looking to help the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Alden and Karen grow many flowers on their Boothbay Harbor property and, as Karen said in an email, the flowers usually go to waste. So Lexi decided she would like to sell those flowers and donate $5 of every bouquet sold to St. Jude’s.

“We are currently selling them by word of mouth but will be setting up a tent at Jordan Construction (Route 27, Boothbay) and putting our flowers there to sell,” said Karen in an email. People will be able to stop by Wednesday-Friday 1 to 5 p.m. People may also call to order a bouquet at 207-350-5344. Alden and Karen currently have an abundance of lilies and dahlias are getting ready to bloom. There will be pre-made bouquets of assorted sizes and priced accordingly.
