Raiders hold off Seahawks
The Oak Hill Raiders defeated the Boothbay Region Seahawks for the second time this season, winning 47-43 at BRHS on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The game was tied 28-28 at the half as the Seahawks matched the Raiders with 19 second-quarter points and looked to avenge a 60-47 loss at Oak Hill Jan. 22.
A third-quarter scoring advantage by the Raiders, 12 to 8, proved to be the difference as Oak Hill improved to 6-12. Boothbay fell to 4-13 with the loss with one game to play in the season.
Tyson French led the Seahawks with 13 points, followed by Simeon Bates with 11.
Eli Desmond was the Raiders' top scorer with 19 points.
The Seahawks will host Lisbon on Monday, Feb. 3. The Seahawks defeated the Greyhounds, 53-33, at Lisbon on Dec. 11. The Senior Night ceremony will be held before the game.
