The Boothbay Region Food Pantry received 753 pounds of food in a peninsula-wide collection sponsored by the region’s post offices on Saturday, May 14.  The pantry directors would like to thank the many letter carriers, post office staff, and community donors who made this food collection an outstanding success. 

 

The food pantry, located on the ground floor of the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, has been serving those in need of food assistance since 1968.  All residents of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Southport, and Edgecomb are eligible for assistance if needed.  The pantry is an independent nonprofit (501c3) organization funded by donations from caring individuals in our year-round and seasonal communities. 

 

Financial contributions, which may be mailed to the pantry at Box 63, East Boothbay ME 04544, are always welcome.  The food pantry is open from 11 a.m.  to 1 p.m. on Fridays.  For further information, please call 350-2962.
