Political signs
Dear Editor:
Over the years I have observed Linc Sample's political signs with some amusement. I don't generally agree with his positions, but it is his right to hold them. I think it is his right to display them, although I thought the town had some sign ordinances that control public display of signs, particularly one in such a prominent position that is almost impossible to miss by anyone visiting our town.
Recently he has displayed two signs that refer to President Biden with a profane slur. Linc professes to be a strong patriot, but it seems to me that referring to our president with this slur is both unpatriotic and a good bit childish. We have grown accustomed to such childish name calling by our last president, but I object to seeing it in a public sign.
If we must all be subject to viewing this sign, please Linc, try to express your views in a more civil, adult manner.
