Planning board approves country club’s spa application
The Boothbay Planning Board unanimously approved a new spa during a special March 30 hearing for Boothbay Harbor Country Club. The board first heard PGC5’s application on March 17 as part of Phase 2 of BHCC’s expansion project. The proposal was tabled for lack of information on lot ownership and parking. On March 19, the board conducted a site review with plans for a special March 23 meeting to consider the proposal.
During the special meeting, planning board members discovered PGC5 hadn’t provided requested information on ownership of the two plots. One lot is owned by PGC5, the other by a second PGC limited liability company. The special meeting was tabled, again. The planning board recommended combining the two plots to comply with impervious surfaces municipal ordinances regarding lot coverage. On March 30, the board conditionally approved the application providing the applicant joined the lots and submitted a survey to the code officer. On April 5, Code Enforcement Officer Jason Lorrain reported the applicant had joined the two lots.
The board meets next at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21 via Zoom conference.
