The Boothbay Region YMCA's 14th annual Penguin Plunge will be held on Friday, Jan. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Murray Hill boat launch, Murray Hill Road, East Boothbay. Proceeds from the pledges will benefit the Y’s second grade water safety program.

This year's event is being held in recognition of long-time Y member Maxine Tourtillotte.
