Passing judgment on Covid

Mon, 04/11/2022 - 3:00pm

    Dear Editor:

Summer is just around the corner. We've lived with the COVID scene for over two years now. There's plenty of up-to-date information on the virus, as well as the vaccines for those who are curious thinkers.

We all know (by now) that whether you are vaccinated or not, you can still contract COVID and still pass it on. Hence, any business that requires a vaccine ID, and is not also accepting a negative COVID test, is actually passing judgment on those who chose to not be vaccinated, rather than instating an effective safety protocol.

Logically, a negative COVID test for all would be the only comprehensive safety protocol. Anyone walking in the door of an establishment with just a vaccine ID could also be also carrying COVID and not yet know it, and subsequently infect others.

Case in point, I have friends, not vaccinated, who recently contracted COVID from a triple vaccinated acquaintance. And, guess whose symptoms are the most severe? Yup - the triple vaccinated person.

Here's to keeping independent critical thinking and a diverse source of media news coverage alive and well, along with your personal health regimen of real food, and plenty of fresh air and exercise.
