‘Paint Wiscasset’: A plein air event Aug. 29-31

Wed, 07/17/2019 - 10:00am
The Maine Art Gallery invites artists to set up their easels in town during three days beginning Thursday, Aug. 29. The plein air event will conclude with a reception and sale on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 5-8 p.m.

Artists who wish to participate should contact either Richard Litz at relitz@ufl.edu or Celia Ludwig at celia-in-rehoboth@comcast.net or Richard at 882-4155 for an information packet.

Registered artists are welcome to be a part of Wiscasset’s August Art Walk on Thursday evening. This is an opportunity for visitors to observe their work.

Wiscasset homeowners who would like to invite artists into their yards are asked to contact Richard Litz or Celia Ludwig. The invitation is by no means a commitment to purchase the work, but it does provide an opportunity to have one’s home included in an artistic representation.

Participation in “Paint Wiscasset” also provides the artist exhibit space for up to ten paintings in the gallery. Registration fee is $20 for members of the Maine Art Gallery and $25 for non-members. All artists must register at the gallery before beginning to paint.

The Maine Art Gallery Wiscasset is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and preservation of painting, sculpture and graphic arts through exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations, and educational programs for children and adults.
