Boothbay Region High School senior basketball player Page Brown has been chosen as one of three finalists for the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) 2018 Miss Maine Basketball Award.

The two other finalists are Kolleen Bouchard of Houlton High School and Emily Wheaton of Presque Isle High School

The 2018 Mr. Maine Basketball finalists are Taylor Schildroth of George Stevens Academy, Ian McIntyre of Hampden Academy and Terion Moss of Portland High School

The six finalists will be honored and the two award winners will be announced at the Maine McDonald’s High School Senior All-Star Awards Banquet on Friday, March 9 at the Anah Shrine Hall in Bangor. The state's highest high school basketball honor recognizes a player’s performance on the court as well as their contribution to their team and basketball in the state of Maine. The award winners are chosen by a committee of former high school coaches, current college coaches and members of the media throughout Maine.

The All-Star Awards Banquet will also recognize All-Star players, All-Star coaches, members of the All-State Academic teams, Regional Foul Shooting Champions, the Maine McDonald’s Spirit of the Game Award recipients, and the MABC Contributor Award and Media Award honorees.

The 2018 Maine McDonald’s High School Senior All Star Basketball Games presented by Bangor Savings Bank will be held on Saturday, March 10  at Husson University in Bangor. Four North versus South All-Star games will feature Class AA, A, and B seniors and Class C and D seniors going head-to-head.

Brown and BRHS boys basketball senior Kyle Ames will play for the Class C South teams.

Tickets are good for all games, plus a girl’s three-point shootout contest and the Dr Pepper Slam Dunk Contest. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children age 12 and under and may be purchased at the door on March 10. More information is available at www.mainemcdonaldsbasketball.org
