Over 150 attend Christmas dinner at the Legion hall

On Christmas Day, the line of people coming through the doors of the American Legion Hall in Boothbay was continuous and happy. We were able to serve about 150 people that day, and the stories were what we had hoped: we came because we would have been alone …we came because community is family.
One man came with his family; he had lost his wife two days prior to Christmas and could take advantage of a free bountiful meal and welcoming smiles, with no cleanup duty.
The dinner committee would like to say a big thank you to the many donors and volunteers. Thank you to the American Legion Hall, Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, Shaw’s in Wiscasset, House of Pizza in Boothbay Harbor, Pinkham’s Gourmet Market, several churches, as well as countless other individuals.
Thank you to Richardsky Adoux, who ran the kitchen willingly as a way to pay back kindness to those in the Boothbay region. We truly are privileged to live in this wonderful community!
Looking forward to next year.
