Outdoor yoga classes at Spruce Point Inn begin June 5

Fri, 05/19/2023 - 10:45am

Crow Point Yoga will once again be offering outdoor yoga classes on the deck at Spruce Point Inn starting Monday June 5. Classes are held Monday through Saturday at 9 a.m. and are open to the public and all inn guests.

This will be the fourth season of outdoor yoga classes. The partnership with Spruce Point Inn began during the summer of 2020. As Crow Point Yoga was searching for a way to safely have in person classes during the pandemic, Spruce Point Inn offered the use of their deck space. Being able to gather during that time was a boost for both the physical and mental health of participants. The response from students to the beautiful setting has been enthusiastic

Year round Crow Point Yoga regulars are enthusiastic about returning to Spruce Point. "I love the air and the ocean sounds! What could be better, yoga outside by the sea?" comments Roxanne S.  For Andie E., "Yoga leaves me better than I found me."  "Fresh ocean breezes, seagulls soaring, clouds blowing by, chipmunks scurrying, breathing it all in, one breath at a time-- a perfect yoga setting" keeps Ocean Point resident Cilla A. coming to her mat.

Doing yoga, a breath based practice, in the fresh air, immersed in the sights and sounds of nature, has great benefits for both body and mind. Classes are open to beginners and all levels are welcome. The Crow Point staff of instructors includes Sharon Goldhirsch, Wendy Johnson, Romee May, Dianne Daniels and Steph Winchenbach.
