Dear Editor:
Re; the letter in the Boothbay Register, July 11, "Abortion: Above Everything Else," I always find it interesting that the loudest and boldest anti-abortionists are men. This is a complex issue pertaining to women's health and well-being. And by the way, Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, condemned abortion as a method of birth control, but was not opposed to abortion intended to save a woman's life.

I have been a reader of the Boothbay Register for many decades, and I am surprised that a letter full of such vitriol would be published. (See the policy guidelines 'but reserve the right to edit for … good taste .... ')
