The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 57th annual Community Awards Celebration which will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at Fisherman’s Wharf Inn from 5 to 8 p.m. The Chamber is delighted to host Governor Janet Mills as the evenings guest speaker.

This year’s categories include: Business of the Year Award, Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Year, Most notable Non-Profit Award, Young Professional of the Year Award and Citizen of the Year Award. This year, there will also be a special award for “Teacher of the Year.” Ballots are available at the Chamber offices at 192 Townsend Avenue. One ballot per person please. The deadline for submission is Thursday, April 25.

If you are a business or community member and would like to submit your nominations, you may pick up a ballot at the Chamber offices at 192 Townsend Avenue or email the Chamber at seamaine@boothbayharbor.com to request one via email.

Once nominations have closed, Chamber members will be emailed a ballot of the top three nominees in each category. This is an opportunity for members to select the individuals and businesses that make a significant contribution to the economic development and quality of life we enjoy here in our region.

Very special thanks to our early sponsors, Cellardoor Winery and Fisherman’s Wharf Inn. Sponsorships are still available. To include your business as a sponsor in this year’s Community Awards celebration, contact Patricia Royall at the Chamber, 633-2353, or via email at: patricia@boothbayharbor.com
