I was looking at the March calendar to see if there are any federal holidays i.e. days off.  Alas, no. But instead, there are some very special days to celebrate this month. March 10: Spring forward when you go to bed, and don’t forget to turn your clock ahead one hour!  I promise you, you might “oversleep” Sunday morning … And then the following Sunday, March 17, don’t forget to wear your best-looking green outfit for St. Patrick’s Day! And then, two days later we celebrate the first day of spring! Then there is Good Friday on March 29, culminating with an unusually early Easter on Sunday, March 31. What a month of special days! 

Our most exciting news this week is that Bethany Schmidt, from the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library will be here from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 15, to help anyone who needs help with their computer, tablet, or phone. It could be as simple as silencing your phone, turning up the volume, recording an outgoing message, or how to use the calendar on your phone, or how to take a picture with your tablet or phone. These devices are a wealth of help (and frustration). Please bring your electronic device here with your questions. Bethany is a wizard and very instructive!

And don’t forget: If you want to Find Your Family, our Lucy Cressey will be here on Saturday morning, March 16, to help you.  Bring your laptop or whatever, and she can help. 

Tax time is upon us!  Time has come to make appointments. If you would like help with your taxes, open season has started with Midcoast Ca$h. Friday, Mar. 15: Bethany Schmidt tech guru 10 a.m.-noon; Scrabble and Rummikub Noon-2 p.m.

Saturday, Mar. 16 Finding Your Family 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 

Puzzles, coffee, tea, goodies, and good camaraderie are always available all week long.  Please save us from eating too many goodies ourselves by coming in and sharing our snacks.  And we always welcome new faces and fresh ideas!
