News and notes from the Community Center

Tue, 01/30/2024 - 2:00pm

The Visually Impaired Persons (VIP) group will meet at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, here at The Community Center.  The speaker will be Chris Boynton, director of the Maine State Library Outreach Program.  Many of the VIP members have found the Talking Books to be a lifesaver. Besides the audiobooks, an extensive selection of large print books is available by mail through the Free Matter for the Blind part of this program. All are welcome to attend this monthly meeting including caregivers, spouses, and drivers. For more information, call Mollie Moore at 633-3810 or Joan Stark at 633-2498.
