Raffle, last chance! We have a beautiful live arborvitae tree, decorated with oodles of scratch tickets here at The Community Center. Raffle tickets cost $1 each or 6 for $5. The raffle ends next Monday, Dec. 18 at noon. Come quickly to join our raffle for chances to win all of the scratch tickets as well as the tree! The drawing for the winner will take place Dec. 18 in the early afternoon. 

Do you like beautiful, colorful, geometric quilts. We are the beneficiary of three quilts which are machine made by local artists. One pair of quilts is 27” x 36”;  the other is 66” square. The smaller ones would make great baby blankets or throws. The larger one would look gorgeous on a bed or a throw for a sofa. All are reversable. Please come take a look at them. We’ve tried to price them fairly.

The Community Center also has our own Christmas tree with many items in our Boutique. Each item is available at a “Make an Offer” price. There are some really cute Christmas items (stockings, Santas, etc.,) as well as decorative pieces and functional items. Please come any day, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and make an offer!

We have a new game at The Community Center.  It’s called Rummikub.  (Pronounced: Rummy-Cube!) Well, it’s not a new game, but it’s new to The Community Center. And it’s going gangbusters!  As I’m sure you know, there are 13 tiles in 4 different colors. To start, you must have tiles that you can lay on the table that count up to 31. You can have runs of the same color (e.g. 1,2,3,4, etc.) or three or more tiles of the same number, but in different colors! And you can build on your own work or a competitor’s tiles. I’ll refresh your memory on some more of the rules and strategy as time goes on. Please come on Fridays from 12:30 to 2 p.m. to play or learn. Everyone is welcome.

Friday, Dec. 22: Scrabble Noon-2 p.m.; Rummikub Noon-2 p.m.

Puzzles, coffee, tea, goodies, and good camaraderie are always available all week long.  Please save us from eating too many goodies ourselves by coming in and sharing our snacks.  And we always welcome new faces and fresh ideas!
