News Flash:  Richard Plunkett is guiding a tour of Historic Richmond, Maine, this Friday, Oct. 27. Richard is an architectural historian and an antiques dealer, so he has plenty of knowledge. We will leave here at 11 a.m., have lunch in Richmond (Dutch treat) and then the tour. You will return about 3:30 p.m. The houses will be decorated for Halloween. Please call or come in to sign up. 633-9876.

As I’m sure you know, Mary Baudo’s Balance Tips and Tricks began this week on Monday, Oct. 23. She will give three more classes for the next three Mondays from 1 to 2 p.m., Oct. 30 (just in time for Halloween), Nov. 6 and Nov. 13. While it would be nice to attend all four sessions, attending three works well too! Mary is very experienced helping people remain healthy and active and vertical. Please call the Community Center 633-9876 to sign up for Mary’s classes.

Pat McKee began her Love to Dance class here last Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. She will continue with her class through the winter on Wednesday mornings. Please come and join the fun for an hour each Wednesday morning.

Please, please, please can you volunteer even once a month to drive people who have transportation needs to medical appointments? Most appointments are in Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, and sometimes Brunswick. You just need a reliable car and a cheerful smile to make somebody happy and very grateful.

A little plea:  Does anyone have a “Rolator” (a walker with wheels and a seat) that you are not using? We have had a request for one, and so far, we have not been able to obtain one.  Many thanks.
