News and Notes from the Community Center

Tue, 05/02/2023 - 10:15am

Beginning Tuesday, May 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and continuing for four weeks, we will hold a special class with our renown Nationally Certified Master Flower Show Judge, Sandra Leonard, who will teach us how to make beautiful creations. You can do one class or all four classes. The benefit of doing all four classes is that each class will build on the preceding class. All you need to bring is some flowers and a vase and let the magic happen! Each class is limited to the first 10 people, so please call Lee at 633-9876 to secure a reservation. This first class will begin with the introducing the process of selecting containers and how to use them.  Please bring with you one container that you have questions about how to use, as well as ideas for that container.  We will discuss various methods of securing plant materials in a variety of containers.

Our annual Indoor Yard Sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 2-3. Mark your calendars! At present, we are looking for sellers. If you would like to have a table here to show off your items, the cost for a table is $20 for one day or $35 for both days. Please call the Community Center to make your table reservation. 633-9876.
