We all need help with our computers, our laptops, our cell phones occasionally. On May 2, we have a full day. At 1 p.m., Bethany Schmidt, from the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library will come and talk to us about “Talking the Lingo” on computers. Please join us for this educational opportunity to help us join the 21st century.

Also on May 2, VIP (Visually Impaired Persons) will meet here at 1:15 p.m. This month’s speaker will be Irene Barber, horticultural therapist for the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Yes, blind gardeners can still plant seeds, weed, water, and harvest vegetables and herbs, create floral arrangements, and even design container gardens. All are welcome to attend these meetings, including caregivers and drivers. For more information, call Joan Stark at 633-2498 or Mollie Moore at 633-3810.

Speaking of floral arrangements, beginning Tuesday, May 9 at 10 to 11:30 a.m., and continuing for four weeks, we will hold once again a special class with our renown Nationally Certified Master Flower Show Judge, Sandra Leonard, who will teach us how to make beautiful creations. Class size is limited to the first 10 people, so please call Lee at 633-9876 to secure a reservation.

Our annual Indoor Yard Sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 2-3. Mark your calendars! At present, we are looking for sellers. If you would like to have a table here to show off your items, the cost is $20 for one day or $35 for both days.
