News and Notes from The Community Center

Mon, 08/09/2021 - 5:45pm

In order to keep the Community Center open and safe, we will be mandating masks and hand sanitizer for the foreseeable future. We look forward to seeing you from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

We had a very fine open mike session on last Wednesday. A group from Bath heard about it and sent several vans over to join us. We really had no mic — our music is acoustic which suits our space. We plan to do it again and again so tell your musician friends to come and play for us.

Have you bought your tickets for the next chance to win 10 lobsters? If not, stop in to The Community Center and purchase your tickets or find us at the Farmer’s Market.  The drawing will be held Sept. 2. The winner will receive 10 lobsters fresh off the dock, generously donated by local lobstermen. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20.

Please contact us if you have summer visitors coming or will be a summer visitor of the Boothbay region and need some durable medical equipment. This is one way we can help to make vacation time with family easier for those with challenges. Contact us, we are happy to help and provide you with what you need!

We need Bridge players. Two local women are anxious to start a Bridge group. If you are interested, just call the center and we will make it happen.
