Now that the seasons are changing and winter is coming, we must remind our public that when the schools are closed, we are closed. When there is a delayed opening, we shall open at the same time the schools open. Be safe this winter, please.

If you would like to trace your family tree and learn a little about your ancestors, why not join our Genealogy group? We have access to one of the leading research tools on the Internet and quite a few researchers who can help you. The group will be meeting on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. beginning this month, and is led by Lucy Cressey.

We will be remembering our friend, Linda Beaulieu, this Thursday at one o’clock. Come and join us for tea and sympathy. No one in our family goes unnoticed.

The annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale is coming up on Tuesday, Nov. 20. Our best bakers will be working hard to provide you with delicious selections, boxed and ready to go to your Holiday table. We will open at 10 o’clock and continue until 3:30. Come early or come late—there should be plenty to go around.

Don’t forget our seniors who may be in need of a warm winter coat. We are collecting clean coats in good condition until the end of the month to be distributed through Good Will and the Agency on Aging. We are also collecting shoes to be sent to our friends in other countries who need them. We are the home of Santa’s Elves!
