Mother Nature is about to deal us another blow with heat and humidity this week. Don’t forget that we are air conditioned and welcome you to come and enjoy the cool and have a cuppa and a treat. You may bring your computer and go on line or bring a book to read or work a puzzle or play a game. Another option is to use our Craft Room and all of it’s contents to make something brilliant.

This is change-over week. We move from summer hours back to fall and winter hours: we will be closed on Labor Day, Monday Sept. 3 and begin regular hours, Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday Sept. 4.

Looking ahead, we have Fiesta Suave beginning on Sept. 13 and running each Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Learn to Crochet will start up again in October, and Tai Chi will begin in November.

Are you a caregiver? Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed and worn down? Well, hang on! We are working on putting together a support group for you an all the other beautiful people who devote the better part of their lives to providing care for others. If you have ideas about what is needed, please help us in the planning stage … call and let us know you are interested.

For more information or if you need the van to pick you up and take you to walk at the Y, call 633-9876.
