Boothbay Harbor Police Chief Bob Hasch said Friday that an amount of cash found in the Meadow Mall area was turned into the police station a few weeks ago and the department would to return it to its owner.

If you think you lost the money, contact the department at 207-633-2451. Chief Hasch said the prospective owner of the cash must describe the denominations, the container it was in, and the approximate date it was lost.
