Millie Jones-Farnham is Lincoln Home’s new director of nursing
If you are from the Boothbay Harbor area then you most likely know Millie Jones-Farnham. You then understand how very happy the Lincoln Home in Newcastle is to welcome her as the director of nursing.
Jones-Farnham has been a main stay in the healthcare community of Boothbay Harbor for the past 25 years. She began her healthcare career as a CNA and then received her RN and BSN degrees from the University of Southern Maine in 1988. Jones-Farnham personifies that nursing is not what one does but rather whom one is. Her smiling sense of humor and her love of people fit perfectly with her desire to help others.
Upon graduation Jones-Farnham worked as an ER nurse at St. Andrews Hospital for eight years as well as the director of the Gregory Wing nursing home 8 years. Wanting to provide kind, loving, compassionate care to hospice patients, Jones-Farnham became a certified in hospice and palliative care nurse and worked three-and-a-half years with Lincoln County Healthcare.
As director of nursing, Jones-Farnham will have oversight of The Lincoln Home Assisted Living, Harbor View Cottage Memory Loss Care as well providing assessment and care planning for clients of One2One Care, a care service for those who want to remain in their own homes.
Jones-Farnham feels that the residents here “are a gift” and she “goes home smiling every day.” The Lincoln Home staff feels that Jones-Farnham is a great addition and staff members are delighted she has joined the mission of providing excellence in Senior Living and Home Care on the coast of Maine.
