Meet Whitney at the Boothbay Region Health Center

Tue, 03/02/2021 - 8:45am

Whitney Tranchemontagne is a family nurse practitioner who serves as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) at Boothbay Region Health Center in Boothbay Harbor. Whitney graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a master's of science in nursing and joined the Health Center in May of 2020. During her training, she worked in a variety of settings, but found her true passion in primary care, where she learned the importance of preventative medicine and the power of strong relationships between health care providers and their patients. In her own practice, she incorporates these lessons by taking the time to get to know her patients and working together with them to create an individualized plan to achieve their health and wellness goals.

In the 10 months that she has been at the Health Center, Whitney has treated many patients of all ages, with a wide variety of conditions, ranging from tick bites to diabetes, and from urinary tract infections (UTIs) to asthma. Whitney is especially interested in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, but is happy to treat patients of all ages. If you or a member of your family would like to be treated by Whitney, please request her, when you call to schedule a same day or future appointment at (207) 633-1075.

When she's not working at the Health Center, Whitney enjoys many hobbies, such as knitting, sewing, and baking. She also loves to spend time outside cycling, kayaking, and hiking with her husband and their two dogs.
