Lucky to have Marks
Dear Editor:
Those of us who live in Maine House District 53 are lucky to have Rep. Tim Marks (D-Pittston) represent us in the Maine legislature.
Tim worked as a state trooper for 25 years, patrolling the roads and responding to emergencies. His background in law enforcement has been especially valuable on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, where he works tirelessly to protect the people of Maine from the kind of tragic accidents he witnessed as a trooper.
In the last legislative session he passed a bill that makes it easier to get repeat OUI offenders off our roads. Tim also got a perfect rating for the 126th Legislature from Maine Conservation Voters for his votes supporting Maine’s natural resources-based economy.
He knows that a lot of people’s jobs depend on taking good care of our state’s natural resources. I will vote to send Tim Marks back to Augusta this November to continue his important work, and I hope your readers will as well.
