Lisa Burger to preach at Ocean Point Chapel Aug. 12
Lisa Burger, former licensed local pastor of East Boothbay and Southport United Methodist churches, will lead the service at the Wilson Memorial Chapel on Ocean Point Sunday, Aug. 12. Clarissa Brown will serve as organist. The service is at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome.
Burger is a graduate of the Small Church Leadership program at Bangor Theological Seminary. She graduated with a B.A. from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and earned an M.S. from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Until her retirement in September 2017, Burger continued God's call to be in ministry as the director of Regional Physician Practices for Central Maine Healthcare at Bridgton and Rumford hospitals.
A native of Kingston, New York, Burger has lived full time in Maine since 1978. She enjoys being in the outdoors, playing golf, getting out on the lake in her boat, and working in her gardens and yard at her home in Naples, Maine, on Brandy Pond.
