LifeFlight of Maine is hosting a unique event for golfers and non-golfers alike at Boothbay Harbor Country Club, to be held this year on June 22, the first day of summer.

For golfers, the unique tournament offers participants the chance to join other LifeFlight supporters and some of New England's top golfers on the club’s world-class PGA course designed by renowned architect Bruce Hepner (whose work includes courses in New Zealand, Florida and Cape Arundel).

Each tournament entry includes a substantial lunch buffet with soup, salad, and sandwiches before play, a gift bag, a whisky tasting on course, prizes, and a festive after-party, with a cash bar and hearty appetizers in the beautiful clubhouse with LifeFlight crew members, supporters and sponsors. Tournament registration fees are $200 per person for club members, $250 for guests.

For those who won’t be golfing, the helicopter flight and after-party are open to anyone who’d like to enjoy the festivities, support the cause and learn more about LifeFlight. Tickets for the helicopter are $100; the after-party $45.

The helicopter rides and lunch will begin at 11 a.m. The golf tournament will start at 1 p.m. and the after party will be from 5 to 7 p.m.

All net proceeds from this event will benefit LifeFlight of Maine, a nonprofit organization and this state's only emergency medical helicopter service. Specifically, funds raised at this tournament will help us with the costs of replacing two of the organization’s three  helicopters, which have served the people of Maine well in their thirteen years of service with LifeFlight, having transported some 14,000 patients throughout the state.
