Bring the kids to a fascinating presentation on amazing astronomy, based on the award-winning kids book, “The Secret Galaxy” by Fran Hodgkins, perfect for the budding star gazer or astronomer. On Saturday, Oct. 17, 10:15-11:15 a.m., Hodgkins will read her book, “The Secret Galaxy,” A Tilbury House Nature Book, and share facts about stars, our galaxy, and universe.

Later on Oct. 17, don’t miss Astronomy Night with Fran Hodgkins from 8 to 9 p.m. Registered guests will meet in the lower back parking lot behind Boothbay Baptist Church off Chapel Street and walk out to the field together. Bring your own binoculars or telescope, jacket, bug-spray, chair, and sense of awe. We will also have our library Orion telescope to share.
